Everything flows, nothing stands still. Nothing endures but change. And nowhere is this more evident than when reviewing one's own heritage. And that began for Hengstler over 150 years ago. Back then, in 1846, Johannes Hengstler, a watch maker in Aldingen, in south-west Germany, started mass production of gong springs for clocks. As the decades passed, the company introduced such products as counters, printers, cutters, relays and rotary encoders that formed the basis of the company's business today and the experience of Hengstler. In addition, today we offer regulators, linear and angle measuring systems. From 1995 on, Hengstler has been a member of the American Danaher Group. Since July 2016 Hengstler belongs to the Fortive Group. Over the years, Danaher’s portfolio evolved into an increasingly global, growth-oriented set of scientific and technological businesses, generating over B in revenue in 2015. In July 2016, Danaher separated into two independent, publicly traded companies: Danaher and Fortive. Fortive is now a focused industrial growth company driving innovation in the areas of field instrumentation, transportation, sensing, product realization, automation and specialty, and franchise distribution. The Fortive Group posts annual sales amounting to several billion US dollars.
